Akemi is bicultural and bilingual, in Japanese and English. Born and raised in Japan, Akemi also lived in the United Kingdom, Los Angeles and before settling down in Hawaii. After a decade working in the airline industry, her career shifted to asset management in Japan, where she was first exposed to real estate concepts and terminology.

She visited Hawaii often, after her first visit in 1973. Every time she came here she thought it would be a great place to live, especially for the amazing, year-round climate, and aloha spirit.

These are sayings Akemi appreciates, and which she fully believes in.

Buying a property should be one of the most exciting events in your life, but finding the ‘right’ real estate can be much like treasure hunting. Selling a property is also one of the biggest life events for most of us, so it’s important that it goes smoothly and satisfactorily. Akemi serves as a matchmaker for buyers and sellers, to make their transactions smooth and satisfying, and to ensure they both feel secure and comfortable throughout the process. Akemi knows how to ensure everything goes smoothly during a transaction, and her hard work and attention to detail helps clients understand how the process works.

Akemi enjoys working with both American and international clients. She also remembers the excitement she and her husband felt when they bought their property in Hawaii. She does everything she can to have her clients feel that way, too.

When Akemi is not helping her clients, or thinking how she might help them, she love traveling and playing golf.
